Foursquare’s Swarm is finally avaiable for Windows Phone users this week, The app is available on the windows Phone store right now. Swarm by Foursquare was previously only available on iOS and Android. The new Foursquare update for Windows phone isn’t out right now, the team mentioned it will be rolling out in a few weeks from now. The release of Swarm for Windows Phone will mean that the older app will automatically take you to Swarm for check-ins from now on.
Foursquare team on the announcement of the app said,
We’re so excited to announce Swarm is now available to download on Windows Phone. It’s the best way to keep up and meet up with your friends, so pin it to your start screen today.
The company earlier has split it’s original core feature of the application into two products. Foursquare now only focuses on discovery and suggestions based on the users while Swarm has taken over the ability to check-in at locations.
