Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation(IRCTC) , a subsidiary of the Indian Railways that handles the catering, tourism and online ticketing operations has finally launched its android app for the public.
The Android app provides basic functions and is free to use. The application allows to check and book for trains directly without any hassle. IRCTC has confirmed that the existing login details will work on the application. It’s to be noted that the application cannot be used between 8am to 12pm with regards to offline users booking their tickets. Lastly, the app can remember the recently added passenger details and also the login details so that it needn’t be repeatedly typed.
IRCTC is famous for its horrible online service and has always faced flak from netizens constantly, recently they updated their website for better usability and now an android app to go with it which is a widely welcomed moved.
