Apple TV 4K (2nd generation or later) will get the new Siri AI beta in India in English, so you do not need to buy a new box just to try it. The fourth-generation Apple TV 4K adds the feature alongside new hardware and costs ₹39,900 in India. Apple’s India Store is taking pre-orders now, with availability from 13 November 2026.
Apple announced the new model on 13 October. For Indian buyers, the useful distinction is simple: Siri AI is coming to older Apple TV 4K models too, while the new box adds far-field microphones, an A19 chip, a Find My-enabled Siri Remote and support for a four-speaker HomePod setup.
What Siri AI does on Apple TV
Siri AI turns search into a full-screen discovery view. You can ask for award-winning Apple TV shows and get poster art with related suggestions, or ask a follow-up while watching, such as where a show was filmed or whether it is suitable for a 15-year-old. Answers during playback appear in a smaller overlay, so the programme stays on screen.

What the new Apple TV 4K adds
The fourth-generation box has three far-field microphones, so you can speak to Siri without reaching for the remote. Apple says echo cancellation helps it hear you while audio is playing. Hands-free Siri support varies by language and region; English is supported when it is the primary tvOS language.
The A19 chip is rated by Apple at up to 50 per cent faster CPU performance and up to twice the GPU performance compared with the previous Apple TV 4K. It also adds a dedicated AV1 decoder. The new Siri Remote works with Find My, including Precision Finding on compatible iPhones, and can play a sound when you are trying to locate it.
HomePod surround sound and smart-home features
With Apple TV 4K (4th generation), you can pair four HomePod mini 2 speakers or four HomePod (2nd generation) speakers in matching front and rear pairs. The system adjusts audio timing and levels to the room. The new box also works as a home hub, with support for automations, HomeKit Secure Video and compatible smart-home accessories.

Apple says Siri AI is available as a beta in tvOS 27.2 on Apple TV 4K (2nd generation or later). The owner of the home in the Home app also needs an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad on the latest software, with Siri AI turned on and set to a supported language. Personal-context requests need that paired device as well. India is one of eight launch countries where Siri AI is available in English.
Apple notes that some Apple Intelligence features using server-side models have daily usage limits, with expanded access available for a fee in the future. Should you buy the new Apple TV 4K?
If your current Apple TV 4K is second generation or newer, you can wait for the Siri AI beta before deciding whether to spend ₹39,900. The new model’s case is about its hardware: hands-free microphones, the Find My remote, faster performance and the expanded HomePod setup. For Siri AI alone, an older supported box is meant to get the beta too.
