Apple Creator Studio, Apple’s subscription bundle of Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Pixelmator Pro and its other creative apps, is getting its biggest update so far in November. It adds built-in MotionVFX effects to Final Cut Pro, Generate Fill in Pixelmator Pro, and new AI assistants in Logic Pro, Keynote, Pages and Numbers. It is a free update for existing subscribers, and the price in India stays at ₹399 a month or ₹3,999 a year.

The catch for Indian users: the new assistants are in beta and available in US English only for now. Everything else, including the MotionVFX library and Generate Fill, is not listed with that restriction.

Apple Creator Studio price in India

PlanMonthlyYearly
Apple Creator Studio₹399₹3,999
Education (college students and educators)₹199₹1,999
  • New subscribers get a one-month free trial.
  • Buying a new Mac or a qualifying iPad (6GB of memory and an A16, A17 Pro or M-series chip or later) gets you three months free.
  • Up to six family members can share the apps through Family Sharing. The education plan does not extend to family members.

If you would rather pay once, the Mac App Store still sells Final Cut Pro (₹29,900), Logic Pro (₹19,900), Pixelmator Pro (₹999), Motion (₹4,900), Compressor (₹4,999) and MainStage (₹2,999) separately. The free versions of Keynote, Pages, Numbers and Freeform also stay, but Apple describes the new intelligence features in those apps as being for subscribers.

Final Cut Pro gets MotionVFX and stock video

The MotionVFX library is now built into Final Cut Pro for Mac. That means thousands of templates, titles, transitions and graphics, plus tools for rotoscoping, tracking and colour grading, without buying plug-ins separately. Final Cut Pro also gets the Content Hub, a library of Apple-curated stock video, photos and backgrounds.

A few smaller changes will matter to everyday editors:

  • Open any image on the timeline in Pixelmator Pro, edit it, and the change saves back to the project automatically.
  • Generate images from text descriptions inside a project.
  • More keyframe easing options, and clips can be disconnected from the primary storyline and placed anywhere.
  • 23 new transcription languages for captions and searching footage.

Motion gets MotionVFX plug-ins for colour grading and 3D camera tracking, and Compressor can now encode Cinematic mode video shot on iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo.

Pixelmator Pro adds Generate Fill

Generate Fill lets you circle part of an image and describe what you want there. Apple says it matches the lighting, perspective and texture of the surrounding area, and upscales the result with Super Resolution so it stays sharp. The generated part can go into an existing layer or a new one with a mask you can keep refining.

It is a similar idea to Photoshop’s Generative Fill, now inside Pixelmator Pro. If you mostly want quick AI images rather than precise edits, tools like Canva’s Craft image model are still simpler to start with.

Logic Pro gets an AI assistant and drum stems

Logic Pro for Mac gets an intelligent assistant, built on a mix of Apple’s own models and OpenAI. It can start a new song, set up a vocal track from one prompt, or help with an open project. It needs macOS 27 on an Apple Intelligence-capable Mac.

  • Stem Splitter can now isolate, replace or rebalance drums without the original multitracks.
  • A redesigned Browser puts loops, instruments and patches in one place, and on-device analysis tags your own sounds so you can search them. It also includes a Splice library.
  • A Liquid Glass redesign on Mac and iPad, plus a new Producer Pack from salsa producer Sergio George.

Keynote, Pages and Numbers get assistants and MCP

This is the part most people will actually use. Keynote, Pages and Numbers each get an assistant that understands the document you have open. In Keynote, it helps design and animate slides. In Pages, it drafts and restructures text. In Numbers, it calculates, builds charts with a one-tap preview and creates tables using general knowledge.

The bigger change for power users is Model Context Protocol support on macOS 27. External AI agents can read, edit and automate Keynote, Pages and Numbers files directly. If you already use agents with other apps, our guide to setting up MCP servers in Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor covers how these connections work. Keynote also adds a new open, JSON-based file format (.keyx), which should make decks easier for scripts and agents to handle.

All three apps also get stock video in the Content Hub and new premium templates. Freeform adds text styles and board colours now, with Pixelmator Pro editing and text-to-shape generation coming in December.

What you need to run the new features

If you haven’t moved to the new OS yet, here is how to install the macOS 27 Golden Gate update and check whether your Mac is supported.

Is Apple Creator Studio worth it now?

For video editors, I think the answer is yes. Having thousands of MotionVFX templates and effects inside Final Cut Pro, plus Logic Pro and Pixelmator Pro, for ₹3,999 a year is good value against the ₹29,900 one-time price of Final Cut Pro alone. Students on the ₹1,999 education plan get the best deal.

If you mainly want the AI writing and slide help, I would wait. The assistants are beta, US English only, and need the latest OS. Free options like Claude’s Docs and Slides tools already cover a lot of that without a subscription.
