Its been ages since we have been exposed to leaks of Amazon’s plans to launch a 3D Smartphone. Well finally, Amazon unveiled the phone and it is similar to most of the flagship Android devices and added up software features that have not been seen before.

The Amazon Firephone has a 4.7″ IPS LCD HD display which Amazon claims to be “optimised for one-handed use” coupled with Gorilla Glass. Under the hood it packs a Quad core 2.2GHz processor along with Adreno 330 GPU coupled with 2GB RAM.

The device has a 13MP f/2.0 rear shooter, OIS – instant access button, even with the screen off and shockingly 4 front-facing cameras for dynamic perspective and a wider field of view. It has Dual stereo speakers built in and sports a Glass back along with Aluminium Buttons.

Not to forget, purchasing the device entitles you to one year of free access to Amazon Prime. For existing prime users, their membership would be extended by a year.

There are a lot of software enhancements on the FireOS which powers the devices. It is basically a modified version of Android, the same that’s found on the Kindle fire.

It will be available exclusively on AT&T for $199 with a two-year contract (or $27/month on NEXT), or $649 for 32GB/$750 for 64GB. It’ll be available on July 25th, but is available for pre-order now.
