Few days back MediaTek introduced a new chip giving way for tri-sim functionality without affecting the battery life to a great extent.

Although we expected only Chinese brands to release phones based on them, LG is reported to have launched a phone based on it.
It is reported to be another variant of Optimus L4 II sporting a 3.8-inch HVGA screen and an unnamed 1GHz chip.It has to be noted that it is no where near a high end phone. The phone has already been launched in Brazil and must hit the Indian market very soon at a decent price tag.
