Samsung launched three versions of the same budget phone in India on October 1, 2026: Galaxy A08, Galaxy M08 and Galaxy F08. The core hardware is almost identical. What changes is the storefront, model code, colour options and the deal you may see at checkout.
If you are comparing this with other phones around the same price point, our best phones under ₹20,000 in India guide is a useful starting point.
What Samsung actually launched
On the official India pages, Galaxy A08 LTE (4 GB / 64 GB) is model SM-A085FZGD in Green, with Dark Blue and Silver also listed. MRP for that 4 GB / 64 GB cut is ₹18,499, as listed on Samsung’s India product page. The phone ships with a MediaTek Helio G99+ octa-core chipset, a 17.13 cm (6.7-inch full rectangle) HD+ PLS LCD, a 50 MP + 2 MP rear pair, an 8 MP front camera, IP64 dust and splash resistance, and a 6,000 mAh (typical) battery. Samsung rates the cell at 5,830 mAh minimum. A 25W fast charger is sold separately.
Samsung promises up to six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates from the first global launch date. Its India product sheet lists security support until 30 September 2032. Samsung also highlights One UI 9, Knox Vault, Circle to Search, Quick Share and Smart Switch on the product page.

A08 vs M08 vs F08: the channel split
Samsung is selling the same core phone under three model names, each tied to a different sales channel:
- Galaxy A08 (SM-A085 series): Samsung.com, Exclusive Stores, partner retail, and general online.
- Galaxy M08 (SM-M085FZSD, Silver on the India page): Amazon-focused twin.
- Galaxy F08 (SM-E085FDBD, Dark Blue on the India page): Flipkart-focused twin.
Samsung lists the M08 for Amazon in Silver. Its model number and storefront differ, but its core specifications match the A08 and F08.
The three official spec sheets match on the key hardware: processor, display, cameras, 4 GB / 64 GB memory, dimensions, weight, IP64 rating, battery and charger support. The M08 and F08 differ mainly in model number, colour and sales channel, not in the core spec sheet.
Samsung lists the F08 in Dark Blue and sells it through Flipkart. Its core specifications match the A08 and M08.
Price and online offers in India
Samsung lists the Galaxy A08 at ₹18,499 for 4 GB / 64 GB. Amazon and Flipkart may show separate discounts on the M08 and F08, so check the current listing and seller details before ordering.
- Galaxy M08: Check the Galaxy M08 listing on Amazon India for bank offers, exchange deals and seller details.
- Galaxy F08: check the live Flipkart listing for its current coupon, exchange and seller terms.
Techzei may earn a commission from qualifying Amazon purchases, at no extra cost to you.
Before ordering, check that the model number and colour match the listing: SM-M085FZSD for the Silver M08, SM-E085FDBD for the Dark Blue F08, and SM-A085 for the A08. Then compare the final price, exchange terms and seller warranty.
Which version should you buy?
Choose the A08 if you want to buy directly from Samsung or see the phone at a Samsung store. Samsung lists it in Green, Dark Blue and Silver.
Choose the M08 if you prefer Amazon and its current listing has the better final price. Check the seller, return terms and warranty before ordering.
Choose the F08 if you shop at Flipkart and its current price or exchange offer works out better. The core hardware is the same as the other two.
Across all three, budget for a 25W charger if you do not already own one, and read the IP64 footnote: lab spray test, not beach or pool use, and resistance can fade with wear.
