Tetsu Sumii is usually a name you wouldn’t normally hear. Sony gave a shout out to him on their blog. The man who designed the PlayStation 4.

“I just wanted to make a simple object for the living room”, he says. “Sometimes products are a little too exaggerated. It should be simple. That’s my thinking.”

He says he wanted the PlayStation 4 to look good from every angle.

“I think about the horizontal, not just the vertical,” he says. “I think about the 360 degree view. The reverse should be beautiful too.”
