Apple refreshed both the 13″ and the 15″ retina MacBook Pro at Apple’s fall event.

13″ MacBook Pro

The 13″ is lighter at 3.46 pounds and thinner at 0.71 inches. It uses the 4th generation Intel Haswell processor. It brings along with it the battery optimisation as seen on the MacBook Airs which came this year. Now, it has a 9 hour video playback for a movie on iTunes. Also, it has 90 percent faster graphics as compared to the previous generation. Other changes are support for Thunderbolt 2, improved flash storage and wi-fi. The best part is definitely the price. It starts at $1299 which is $200 cheaper as compared to the previous generations.

15″ MacBook Pro:

It has all the improvements of the 13″ MacBook Pro and runs on the intel Crystalwell processor. It starts at $1999 which is also $200 cheaper as compared to the last year’s version.

Both these will be available in stores from today. The 13″ MacBook Pro is just $200 more than the 13″ MacBook Air and $100 more than the 13″ CD-Drive MacBook Pro. This makes the Retina MacBook Pro as the To-Go Mac now.
