Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 Wayfarer hero from Meta India announcement

Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 starts at ₹44,300 in India, with Wayfarer, Aviator and Zena frames. Polarized and Transitions lenses cost more.

Connect 2026 also brought Ray-Ban Meta Audio and Muse, which we’ve covered in our Meta Connect 2026 roundup.

India got Gen 1 late. Gen 3 is different.

Meta announced Gen 1 globally in September 2023, but it did not arrive in India until May 2025, nearly 20 months later. Gen 2 launched worldwide in September 2025 and reached India in December. Meta chose that rollout but has not explained why. Gen 3 marks a sharp change: it reached India eight days after its global announcement.

Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 price in India

Lens option Listed price What to know
Standard From ₹44,300 Clear, solid-tint and gradient options are listed at the entry tier.
Polarized ₹46,500 A higher-priced option for bright outdoor use.
Transitions ₹50,100 Lenses that adjust to changing light; check the exact colour and lens on the product page.

Meta lists 27 colour and lens combinations across the three frame styles.

For indoor use or evening walks, consider a clear lens rather than a dark tint. Polarized lenses are aimed at bright outdoor use, while Transitions lenses adjust as the light changes.

Where to buy them in India

Meta says Gen 3 is available through meta.com, Ray-Ban India, consumer-electronics retailers and leading optical stores. Buying in person is useful if you are unsure about the fit or need an optical consultation. For an online order, confirm the exact lens, colour, delivery estimate and return terms on that seller’s own page before paying.

What you get with Gen 3

The glasses combine open-ear audio, calls, Meta AI and a camera. Meta lists a 12-megapixel camera, video recording up to 3K Ultra HD and battery life of up to nine hours, depending on use. Those are manufacturer figures; actual battery life will vary with recording, calls and listening.

A six-microphone array is designed to improve calls and voice pickup. Meta says it reduces background noise by more than 90%. That is the company’s claim, not an independent test. A visible capture LED indicates when the camera is recording or taking a photo, an important detail when you use the glasses around other people.

Wayfarer, Aviator or Zena?

Meta’s India launch includes all three. Wayfarer keeps the familiar square shape. Aviator uses the classic teardrop frame, while Zena is the more angular, cat-eye option. These are style choices rather than different camera models, so try to judge the fit and comfort in person if you can.

Ray-Ban Meta Audio and Muse are separate announcements. Their India availability and feature support have yet to be confirmed.

Gen 3 makes the most sense if you will wear the frames often and want hands-free photos, short videos, calls or voice assistance. If you only want sunglasses, or would rarely use the camera and audio, ₹44,300 is a lot to spend on features that may stay unused.
