Why RAM still feels expensive
The market is not moving in one clean direction. TrendForce reported that some DDR5 chip quotes softened in mid-September while mainstream DDR4 1Gx8 3200MT/s spot pricing still edged up to US$45.54. That is a chip-market signal, not a retail discount. India listings can react later, and marketplace pricing can be far more erratic than the underlying component market.
So a slightly softer spot market is worth watching, but it is not a reason to assume that 32GB DDR5 kits will suddenly return to old pricing.
What the Amazon.in checks show
These examples explain the real problem better than a large percentage-off-MRP badge. The gap between a relatively lower-priced DDR5 kit and a premium kit is enormous, even when both are 32GB DDR5-6000 desktop memory.

Buy it only if 16GB is holding your work or games back, or if an AM5 or DDR5-only build is otherwise ready to go.
₹78,438 is where the value falls apart
The TeamGroup kit is a faster CL30 option, but the ₹78,438 listing shows why spec sheets should not decide the purchase. The real-world difference over a sensible DDR5-6000 kit will not justify a ₹29,000 jump for most people.
Unless you have a specific memory-sensitive workload, do not pay a premium just to make a build look more complete on paper.
DDR4 is still the rational upgrade for older platforms
The Patriot 32GB DDR4-3200 kit was listed at ₹20,599. It is not cheap, but it is far easier to defend when it lets an existing AM4 or DDR4 Intel PC keep going without a motherboard and CPU upgrade.
Do not replace a working platform just for DDR5. More usable memory today is usually a better upgrade than chasing a newer memory standard.
