Nokia X Launched In India For Rs.8599

Nokia’s highly anticipated and first ever phone running Android, The Nokia X, who which was unveiled by Nokia on February 24, during the MWC at Barcelona has finally been put on sale in India.

Nokia X is priced at Rs.8599 INR, the smartphone will be available via online retailers like Flipkart and Amazon but it’s not yet available on the Nokia Stores. Nokia X runs on a heavily modified AOSP platform, AOSP is the base of the Android so hence most of the Android apps will run on this device out of the box.

Although it is quite cheap, the phone lacks certain essential features like a front camera and a flash. Interestingly, Microsoft is offering unlimited calling via Skype on this phone though it lacks a front facing camera.
