Motorola since it’s launch in the Indian market had exclusively tied up with Flipkart for the sale of it’s phones. Motorola has seen a lot of sales and brought all of the current line up smartphones to the customers without any hiccups of offline stores. Increased demand has pushed Motorola, owned by Lenovo to move to other e-commerce platforms such as Amazon and Snapdeal to sell their smartphone.
Starting September 25th, Motorola’s newest low-end segment phone Motorola Moto E(2015) will be available on Amazon and Snapdeal. The exclusivity of Flipkart selling Motorola brand phones is no more. Motorola has also announced it’s entry into selling it’s phones through select local retailers around various cities in India.
”Responding to growing demand from our consumers we have made a strategic move of increasing the availability of our portfolio across offline and multiple online shopping platforms. To start off, we will be available at select stores for our consumers to experience and purchase the device. Consumers are at the heart of whatever we do and we will leave no stone unturned to enhance their buying experiences,” said Amit Boni, General Manager at Motorola Mobility India.
Motorola Moto E(2015) 3G & 4G versions are already listed on Snapdeal, and are priced at Rs. 5,999 and Rs. 6,999, respectively.
