Warby Parker will open preorders for its first Android XR Intelligent Eyewear collection on 12 November 2026. The company says it will deliver orders during the holiday season. It has not announced a price or an India launch, so there is no reliable rupee price to compare yet.

These are the glasses Warby Parker is making with Samsung and Google. They put Gemini, a camera and open-ear audio into everyday frames. Google says audio glasses are arriving before display glasses, which means this first collection is for spoken help rather than information floating in front of your eyes.

What has been confirmed for November 12?

Warby Parker named the preorder date in its 5 November earnings release. It said customer deliveries are expected during the holiday season, but gave no exact shipping day. The company has a page where shoppers can book an in-store demo; pricing and the final collection details are still to come.

That leaves a few buying questions open: how much the frames and prescription lenses cost, battery life for the final models, and which features require a supported phone or subscription. Wait for the product listing before treating any leaked price or specification as final.

What can the glasses do?

Warby Parker lists real-time translation, turn-by-turn directions, photos and videos, music, calls and texts. Gemini can answer questions about what you are looking at. Google says you can speak to the assistant or tap the frame, and that its audio glasses pair with Android and iOS phones. Some features may depend on the phone, language, market or service.

The useful difference from a headset is that you could wear these on a normal walk or commute. The unanswered question is whether the battery, comfort and camera are good enough for that daily use. We have not tested the glasses, and Warby Parker has not published the complete retail specifications.

Samsung has also shown a Gentle Monster design. That is a separate eyewear partner, so Warby Parker’s preorder date should not be read as a confirmed preorder date for every Android XR frame.

What about India?

Neither Warby Parker, Google nor Samsung has announced Indian pricing or a local sale date for these frames. Warby Parker’s preorder announcement is useful news, but it does not mean Indian stores will stock the glasses on 12 November. Imported pricing would also tell you little about local warranty or prescription-lens support.

If you want AI glasses you can actually buy in India, our Ray-Ban Meta India guide is the more immediate comparison. If you want a display in the lenses, XREAL AURA is a different kind of Android XR device. Warby Parker’s first frames are audio glasses.

For now, the date to watch is 12 November. A price and final specifications will make the buying decision clearer. Indian availability remains unannounced.
