The Oura Ring 5 is available for pre-order in India, starting at ₹39,900 for Silver and Black. Gold, Deep Rose, Stealth and Brushed Silver cost ₹50,900. Budget for Oura Membership too: the detailed health insights require it, and the India listing says ₹599 a month.
Oura announced the Ring 5 globally in May. It is slimmer than Ring 4, while its newer health features also work on older rings with an active membership.

Pre-orders opened on 22 October through Amazon and Croma. This Amazon listing is for the Silver Ring 5; choose your size and check stock before paying. The ₹46,489 first-year total assumes a new Oura account, monthly billing at ₹599 after the complimentary first month, and no change in price. Existing members do not receive another free month.
What is new in the Oura Ring 5
The headline change is size. Oura says the Ring 5 has 40% less volume than the Ring 4. It is 6.09 mm wide and 2.28 mm thick, compared with 7.9 mm and 2.88 mm on the Ring 4. If you took the old ring off at the gym, at your desk or in bed because it felt bulky, this is the version built for you.
- Battery: Oura rates the Ring 5 at 6 to 9 days per charge, compared with 5 to 8 days on the Ring 4. A full charge takes about 80 minutes.
- Build: titanium with a tougher PVD coating, IP68 rating and water resistance to 100 metres. Oura says it is not meant for diving.
- Sensors: two tri-LEDs, two photodetectors, a temperature sensor and an accelerometer. The Ring 4 has three photodetectors, but Oura says the redesigned Ring 5 sensors improve accuracy.
- Storage: the ring holds up to 3 days of data between syncs, compared with 7 days on the Ring 4. Open the app every couple of days and you will not notice.
Sizing is different, so do not skip the kit
The Ring 5 comes in sizes 6 to 13. The Ring 4 went from 4 to 15, so people at either end of that range have no Ring 5 at all. Oura also says Ring 5 sizes do not match Ring 4 sizes, so even current owners need the new sizing kit. Wear the sizer for at least a day on the finger you plan to use before ordering. Each ring also ships with a charger made for its size.
Which health features work in India
Health Radar is available in India in the English app. It includes Blood Pressure Signals, which watches overnight trends and flags signs of rising blood pressure, and Nighttime Breathing, which shows breathing disturbances over 30 days. Blood Pressure Signals needs at least 15 nights of data to set a baseline. It does not give you an mmHg reading like a cuff, and Oura says the ring is not a medical device. Treat an alert as a reason to check with a proper BP monitor and a doctor.
GLP-1 Insights also works in India in English for members using GLP-1 medicines. Counsel Health’s connected doctor advice is US-only. Oura does not list India among the markets for its optional Charging Case.
Oura Ring 5 vs Ring 4: size and cost
Oura launched the Ring 4 in India in March. It remains the cheaper option: the Brushed Silver Ring 4, size 5 is listed at ₹24,900, ₹15,000 below the entry Ring 5 price. Prices vary by finish and size, so compare the exact models that fit you.

Every one of those health features runs on any Oura ring from Gen3 onwards, the Ring 4 included. Your membership is tied to your account, not the ring, so existing members do not need a second subscription to upgrade.
Who should buy it
Choose Ring 5 if Ring 4 felt too bulky and you are comfortable with the higher hardware price and ongoing membership. Ring 4 gives you the same new software features for less, provided you find your size at a good price. If your Ring 4 fits well, there is little reason to upgrade for software alone.
