Google Fitbit Air tracker India launch colors and lifestyle

Fitbit Air goes on sale in India today, October 2, for ₹13,999. It tracks heart rate, sleep and activity without a screen, then sends the details to the Google Health app on your phone.

There is no display to check mid-run or when you wake up. That keeps the tracker quiet on your wrist, but means you will need your phone whenever you want to look at your data.

Fitbit Air price and availability in India

Google says Fitbit Air is available from October 2 through the Google Store and retail partners for ₹13,999. It comes in Obsidian, Berry, Lavender and Fog, with a Performance Loop band in the box and a three-month Google Health Premium trial. Google has not said what Premium will cost after the trial.

What Fitbit Air tracks

Fitbit Air records 24/7 heart rate, sleep stages and duration, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability and blood oxygen (SpO2). It can detect common activities automatically and send a workout recap to the app. Google Health Coach and some advanced insights require Google Health Premium.

Google estimates up to a week of battery life, and says a five-minute charge provides up to a day of use. Actual battery life depends on settings and usage, and Google says some features use more power. As with other wrist-based sensors, readings can vary with fit, movement and individual physiology.

Phone support and health feature limits

Fitbit Air works with most phones running Android 11 or later, or iOS 16.4 or later. You also need a Google Account and the Google Health app. Heart-rhythm monitoring with AFib alerts is available only in select locations, and age and eligibility limits apply. Google says Fitbit Air is not intended for medical use, so treat its readings as wellness information, not a diagnosis.

Is Fitbit Air worth considering?

Fitbit Air makes the most sense if you want sleep and activity tracking without another display on your wrist. At ₹13,999, its appeal depends on whether you will actually wear a screenless band day and night. Check which features remain after the three-month Premium trial before counting the subscription as part of the value.
