Nike releases FuelBand App for Android

Nike has finally made the Android version of the Nike+ Fuelband SE sync app available for use with the Samsung Galaxy S5, S4, S3, Nexus 5, HTC One, and Moto X smartphones. This Android app released almost two years after the launch of the Nike+ FuelBand fitness tracker wristband and its companion iOS app.

This app communicates with Nike’s wearable fitness tracker over Bluetooth, but this one only works with the newer Fuelband SE and a select list of Android phones. Requiring Android 4.3 and Bluetooth LE support. The Android Nike+ FuelBand app enable users to create Nike+ accounts, as well as set daily goals, activity reminders, and view their workout history, progress and publish data to the NikeFuel leaderboards

However Nike’s app, is available only in the U.S., U.K., Canada, Germany and Japan from the Play Store for now. Android users have waited too long for this app, hopefully its better late than never.
