Motorola has been taking the market by storm with its cost effective phones Moto G and the Moto E. One thing that keeps Motorola ahead of the competition is the software. All the phones released by Motorola in the recent past have come out with the latest iteration of Android along with a promised future updates.
No Indian company comes anywhere close to Motorola’s phones, thanks to the never update policy. As a matter of facts, No Micromax phone until today has KitKat out of the box inspite of spamming the market with quite a few phones post the release of Kit Kat from Google.
Thanks to the increasing market share of Motorola, Micromax has been forced to bend its back. Micromax has announced Unite 2 A106 with KitKat and seems to be the perfect competition for the Moto E (At Least on the paper)
The device comes with a 1.3Ghz processor coupled with 1GB of ram and offers dual-SIM support. It is built around a 4.7-inch Bright Graph IPS display with a 480×800 pixel resolution. It sports a 5MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash. It comes with 4GB of inbuilt storage, and can be expanded to an additional 32GB via microSD card. It is backed by a 2000mAh battery. The smartphone is available in Grey, Green, Red and White colour variants.
It runs KitKat 4.4.2 out of the box and Micromax has promised OTA updates just like Motorola. Also, it comes preinstalled with over 20 localized Indian languages. Like always, there are a bunch of Micromax applications bundled along with the phone.
Priced at 6999 INR, it is definitely trying to compete with Moto E.
