The Command Code mod catalog is still small. These five fill different needs: a live status line, help with skills, a session card or a completion alert. I checked public npm listings and project pages on 3 October 2026; package versions may change. I built one of these mods, commandcode-token-metrics.
Status line
1. commandcode-token-metrics
Disclosure: I built commandcode-token-metrics, so this is not an independent pick. It shows live tokens per second, a rate graph, the run average, peak and time to first token. Check the release notes before installing because package versions change.
cmd mods add npm:commandcode-token-metrics -gTo limit the install to this repo, remove -g. Start a new session or type /reload; no build step is needed because Command Code compiles the TypeScript when it loads.
The default colours mark rates below 10 tok/s red and rates of 30 tok/s or more green. The optional token counter and elapsed-time clock use footer space and can crowd other footer widgets. Use the launch flags to adjust the threshold or graph width; invalid values fall back to the defaults. Type /tps to show the previous run’s metrics again:
cmd --mod-option slowTps=15 --mod-option vuColumns=20The same idea exists for the OpenCode TUI as opencode-token-metrics (npm 0.2.0). That package is not a Command Code mod, and it does not use cmd mods add.
2. commandcode-hud
@hu9osaez/commandcode-hud (npm 1.0.0) is another status-line option, but it does not use cmd mods add. Its one-shot installer copies commandcode-hud.ts into ~/.commandcode/mods/ and patches the Command Code CLI so the status line can use two rows. The second line shows rate limits and remaining credits. Without the patch, the HUD collapses to one line. A later cmd update removes the patch, so run the installer again after updating.
npx @hu9osaez/commandcode-hudThe HUD displays the model, reasoning effort, a context bar when the model is listed in its map, the Git branch with a dirty marker and session duration. Its billing line uses the CLI key in ~/.commandcode/auth.json; if the key or network request is unavailable, only that line is hidden. cmd mods list shows it as a user-scope file, not an npm package. Verify the copy with npx @hu9osaez/commandcode-hud --verify, or remove it with --uninstall.
cmd.ui.widget does not render; both this HUD and the token metrics mod use cmd.ui.setStatus. If you enable both, they share the same footer row in load order rather than replacing each other.
Skills
3. skill-hub-mod
PabloJustDevelops/skill-hub-mod is not on npm. Install it from GitHub. The repository lists Command Code 1.28 or newer as a requirement.
cmd mods add PabloJustDevelops/skill-hub-modThis is separate from Command Code’s built-in /skills command: the mod uses /skillhub, with /skills-update as an alias. It adds list, check, update and recommend commands, plus two model-facing tools: skill_autoupdate_check and recommend_skills.
The mod uses the skills.sh CLI (npx skills) to search for and install skills. Its recommendations are based on local files such as package.json, pyproject.toml and a Dockerfile; it installs nothing until you confirm. autoUpdate is off by default, so a new session will not rewrite your skills unless you enable it. On Windows, use the documented cmdc alias because cmd is the system shell. The command above is for macOS, Linux and WSL.
Session context
4. cmd-threadline
@mdeloughry/cmd-threadline (npm 1.5.0) keeps a short card on screen with your goal, the last action, the next step and anything that needs your attention. Empty fields stay hidden. The author designed it to help people, including dyslexic developers, resume long sessions. Unlike a completion alert, Threadline provides context and does not call its own model. The agent updates the card through threadline_update when something material changes.
cmd mods add npm:@mdeloughry/cmd-threadlineTo install it only in the current project, leave off -g:
cmd mods add mdeloughry/cmd-threadlineCommands live under /threadline:: where, park, parked, pop, unpark, history, and reset. The card is stored in the session transcript, so it comes back when you resume. A field that has not moved in ten minutes picks up an asterisk.
Notifications
5. cmd-mod-completion-bell
cmd-mod-completion-bell (npm 1.0.5, by timuela) plays a bundled WAV when the assistant needs you. The package has no npm README, so check its published source before installing. It alerts you when a run ends or errors, when the model asks a question or opens plan review, and when a tool waits five seconds for a permission decision. It stays quiet if you approve within that window, and limits alerts to one every two seconds.
cmd mods add npm:cmd-mod-completion-bell -gPlayback uses PowerShell’s SoundPlayer, so this is a Windows-only mod. macOS and Linux do not have the player it launches. The npm listing does not link to a GitHub repository.
Other mods we found
Other npm results include @ultra-cmd/mod-gh, mod-orca and mod-codegraph, which wrap the Ultra CLI; @ultra-cmd/proflow, a harness mod with a larger skill pack; and Command Code’s sample cmd-mod-hi, which replies when you say hi.
