Asus released a range of devices and accessories in Delhi a few months back. One of the accessories was Lolliflash. I initially decided not to review the Lolliflash because there was not much to it. But I always had it in my bag and gradually started using it. I do not use it all the time, but it comes handy occasionally and I don’t mind carrying it since it is really small.

The first thing to know is that Lolliflash is not really a flash. It is just two LED lights which are far more powerful than the ones on your phone. I do most of my photography on my iPhone these days. The basic rule of photography is that good light results in a good photograph. This accessory simply gives you that extra light.

The primary reason for this accessory to exist is that 99 percent of  the phones do not come with a front facing flash making it impossible to take selfies in dark spaces. It comes with a 3.5mm Male connector which slides into the headphone port of any smartphone. This is just to hold down the accessory. There is just one button on the accessory. Turn it on, change the intensity and turn it off. It has three light intensity: Low, Medium and High. It also comes with three different filters: Blue, Pink and White. It adds a nice hue to the photos you shoot. Like I’d mentioned in the ZenFone Selfie review, I do not shoot a lot of selfies and found no use for this accessory initially. But since this is a stand alone external light, I started using it that way. I use it to get the extra light on my subject when I need. For this reason, I always have it in my bag  with me.
