The iPad was the highlight of the Apple fall event. Apple updated both the smaller and the full-size iPad.

iPad Mini:

The most requested feature from the iPad Mini which was announced last year was for it to be powered by the same beautiful retina display which has been powering the larger iPad for some time now. Well, they just did that. They put in the retina display for the iPad mini. Also, they have put in the same 64 bit A7 processor which runs runs the new iPhone 5s. It is priced at $399 which was $70 more than the last year’s iPad mini. But, Apple plans to sell the last year’s iPad mini also at $299 which is competitively priced to compete with the other smaller tablets in the market.

iPad Air:

ipad-air-heroYou read it right: iPad Air. Apple has changed the name for one reason: the iPad is now super thin. It is 2 millimeters thinner making it the thinnest full size tablet in the market. They have also cut down on the bezel to make it look like the bezel on the iPad mini. It weighs just one pound now. It is also powered by the same 64 Bit A7 processor. It starts at the same $499 . iPad 2 will still live at the same price of $399.

The updates for both the iPads are definitely impressive. Retina makes the iPad mini pleasure to use and the dimensions of iPad Air makes it extremely portable with all the features we love about it and more.
