Motorola announcing a new device Moto E today was not really a surprise with numerous leaks and the invites to the event coming long back. This is the first device from Motorola after Lenovo acquired it from Google. Motorola even after the acquisition is on target releasing new phones.

Moto G which was announced last year had a slightly bumped down specs as compared to the Moto X to bring it down to that magical price. Now motorola has done that again, taking the Moto G and further bumping down the specs. With this, the new phone Moto E is a lot more cheaper.

The phone comes with a standard Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and is water-resistant to a small extent. Also, it has a huge 1980mAh Battery, runs Android 4.4, a Micro SD Card slot, has a dual SIM version and just like the other two phones, it comes with customisable shells.

So, what’s been bumped down is this phone compared to the Moto E? It comes with only one option of internal storage – 4GB. It is expandable though with Micro SD card slot for cards up to 32GB. Also, it has a 4.3″ screen with 256ppi compared to the 4.5″ screen with 326ppi. In terms of the processor, both the phones have a 1.2GHz processor. But Moto E has a dual core processor and on the Moto G it is a Quad Core one. Camera is where the one area where you notice the biggest difference. Moto E has a 5MP back camera  without flash and no front camera.

Once again, the biggest feature of this phone is the price. It will retail for $129 in the US. But the best part is, it’ll retail for just Rs. 6999 in India. Right now, there is no better phone out there in the sub 10K market. This phone is definitely going to make a bigger impact than the Moto G did and will be giving the other companies a run for their money.
