The Galaxy F70 5G price in India starts at ₹19,999 for 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, while the 6GB/128GB model is listed at ₹22,999. Its Full HD+ Super AMOLED screen and stabilised 50MP camera are the main draws. Before buying, check the final price and Samsung’s software-support promise: its product page does not confirm how long the phone will receive updates.

Flipkart has a product listing for the F70, and Samsung publishes its specifications on the India product page.

Design and display: thin, bright and AMOLED

The screen is the strongest reason to look at this phone. Samsung’s cheaper Galaxy A08, M08 and F08 models use HD+ LCD screens. The F70 gets a Full HD+ Super AMOLED panel, which means deeper blacks, better contrast for video and a sharper image for reading. Samsung calls it the brightest sAMOLED display in its segment but has not published a nits figure, so take that as a claim until someone measures it.

The refresh rate is 90Hz, not 120Hz. Scrolling will look smoother than on a 60Hz phone, though Samsung’s cheaper Galaxy M17e runs at 120Hz. Samsung says the 7.5mm body makes it the slimmest phone in its class. At 192g, it is also lighter than the 8.0mm, 197g Galaxy A08.

Cameras: OIS is the useful upgrade

Samsung’s “No Shake Cam” means optical image stabilisation on the 50MP main camera. OIS can help keep low-light shots and handheld video steadier, though it cannot guarantee sharp results. The second rear camera is 5MP, so do not expect the same detail as the main sensor. Samsung calls this the “segment’s best camera” based on its own research; that is a marketing claim, not a finding from our testing.

Exynos 1330 performance and battery

The Exynos 1330 is an octa-core chip. On paper, this is a phone for calls, payments, streaming and everyday apps rather than a gaming-first pick; we have not tested its performance. The 4GB model may be tight if you keep many apps open. If you plan to keep the phone for several years, the 6GB option is worth considering, but compare the ₹3,000 difference with other phones at that price point.

The battery is 5,000mAh with 25W charging, and there is no charger in the box. You only get a USB-C to USB-C cable and a SIM ejector pin. If you don’t already have a USB-C Power Delivery charger, budget for one. Samsung’s 25W USB-C adapter (without cable) is one option; check its current listing and seller before ordering. Software: Android 15 listed, update policy unclear

Samsung’s product page promotes Circle to Search, Google Gemini, Samsung Wallet with Tap and Pay, Quick Share, Voice Focus for calls and Knox security. It does not state the Android version or an update policy.

Flipkart lists Android 15 for the F70, but Samsung has not stated an update policy on its product page. That is worth checking, especially beside the cheaper Galaxy M17e: Samsung says that phone launched with One UI 8 on Android 16 and will receive six Android upgrades and six years of security updates. For a broader look at Samsung’s software rollout, see our One UI 9 guide.

Before ordering, look for Samsung’s confirmed update commitment. An Android version in a store listing tells you where the phone starts, not how long it will stay supported.

M17e details from Samsung Newsroom India’s March 2026 launch release.

The M17e costs a lot less, lasts longer on paper and has the clearer update promise. The F70 has the better screen, the more useful camera hardware and the slimmer body. If your current phone has an LCD and you watch a lot of video, the AMOLED panel is a difference you will notice every day. If battery life and long software support matter most, the M17e is the safer buy, as long as you find it near its launch price. Our list of the best phones under ₹20,000 in India explains why the M17e is only good value when it is discounted.

If you want a Samsung for even less and can live with an LCD, our comparison of the Galaxy A08, M08 and F08 covers Samsung’s cheaper 6,000mAh options.

Should you buy the Galaxy F70 5G?

At ₹19,999, the F70 is worth considering if you want a Samsung with an AMOLED screen, a stabilised main camera and a slim body. The ₹22,999 6GB model needs a closer comparison with the phones in our Diwali 2026 phone guide first.

Look elsewhere if gaming or maximum battery capacity comes first. If long software support is your priority, wait for Samsung to confirm the F70’s update policy before deciding.
