Until today, Google Now Launcher remained exclusive to the Nexus range and the Google Play edition devices. Google has finally decided to change that with today’s update it’s Launcher app on the Google Play Store. Google Now Launcher app is now available for all Android devices running on 4.1 Jellybean and above.
This was a matter of time, since the launcher was already working fine with almost all devices running a recent version of android when side-loaded. Google Now Launcher brings the goodness of the stock android flavour onto any device that you may install it on. Which means that almost all the newly launched devices with OEM Launchers can be replaced with the Google Now Launcher.
