What does Sony at E3 2014 have to offer the gaming community ? Let’s have a look. Last year, E3 was Sony’s ultimate battleground with all outcomes in its favor. The bloody battle was won by Sony despite the overwhelming efforts from Microsoft to prove their worth. Yet this year at another E3 , Returning with the pride and trust they earned last year Sony has not failed to produce the same experience to the gaming community.
This time around it was more than a show, Sony unveiled various new game titles, extended trailers and a few hardware updates. Sony slipped up some information about the all new PS TV, $99 video device that can play older PlayStation games with a PlayStation controller and a quick glimpse at the Project Morpheus which was demoed at GDC 2014.
Lets get straight into the most exciting part of the Sony’s E3 announcements – A lot of games for consoles of the present and future.
It all started with the trailer of Destiny – shared world first person shooter RPG developed by Bungie published by Activision. Sony exclaimed the similarity between the game and the company in providing rich graphic fidelity and dynamic social experience. Sony announced that the Beta version of the game will be exclusively available only to Playstation 3 and Playstation 4 customers from July 17.
Sony is working its way around in providing its customers a remarkable range of fidelity and even offering Alpha test versions of Destiny to Playstation owners at Alpha-Destiny. Destiny launches in full swing this September 9th 2014 across PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. To top it all off, they demoed live gameplay footage of Destiny.
The big one, Yes It is Far Cry 4. With the gigantic success of Far Cry 3 and its DLC – Blood Dragon, the developers at Ubisoft were not able to resist the idea of yet another Far Cry game in the series. This time the game is set in the hilly regions of Himalayas at place called Kyrat.
Far Cry 4 has all the gorgeous mountain view and wild environment, The game bets to offer a unique gameplay experience in all aspects. The media briefing by Sony showcased the debut gameplay of Far Cry 4. The game looks awesome with enhanced AI, vehicle takedowns, paragliding escapes and monstrous elephants making this game an irresistible choice for gamers.
Remastering an old game, Do you think it’s a good idea? Yes, It is indeed a great idea when it is for the next gen gaming console, Playstation 4. Sony announced it’s support with Naughty Dogs and Rockstar Games, for remastering The Last of Us and Grand Theft Auto V for the Playstation 4.

Battlefield : Hardline is yet another major game showcased at E3. It takes the police-thief game that we played in childhood and re imagines it to a whole new level. It’s composed of variety of heists and similar missions, the game has four distinct modes Heist mode, Rescue mode, Hotwire mode and Bloodmoney mode each of which leads to completely awesome gameplay.

Uncharted series is one of the most appraised games from Naughty Dog published by Sony Computer Entertainment. A short teaser for the next game title in the series – Uncharted – A Thief’s End was revealed at E3 2014. The game was running on Playstation 4 it which showed a high definition Drake waking up in middle of nowhere and setting out for a horrific adventure which no one would take (Not even Lara Croft).
Rocksteady and Warner Bros revealed new gameplay footage of Batman: Arkham Knight. The preview of the game looks a lot better than before with improved Batmobile along with a upgraded Batman armour. The gameplay trailer reveals the extent to which the environment can altered in favor of Batman against the enemies in Gotham City.
The legendary Batmobile combined with the new battle mode provides new enhanced maneuvering capabilities. Batmobile can now be hovered sideways with great precision. The Scarecrow featured antagonist ends up the gameplay with a horrific swear to take Gotham down on its knees. Will batman be rigid once again to save Gotham City?
The featured Scarecrow extra missions will be exclusively available only for Playstation 4.
Dead Island 2 was revealed at the conference by the Publisher Deep Silver officially. Dead Island 2 is a successor to Dead Island : Riptide, which launched for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC in 2013. Yager ,the developer behind Spec Ops: The Line is also joining for working on Dead Island 2, which launches in spring 2015.
The debut trailer is very funny wherein a man is showed jogging listening to music and suddenly starts turning into a zombie. This new game features definitive gameplay mechanics combined with top-notch role-playing game elements.
We could not miss this, Could we? Mortal Kombat X was revealed recently as folks at NetherRealm Studios showed a glimpse of it recently but we were cornered to wait until E3 for its official gameplay footage. The game certainly has the classy feel of old Mortal Kombat games with enhanced gruesomeness and brutality.
The gameplay footage elements show its improvement over previous generation consoles with extended character sets each empowering over its rival is a boon to this game. It will be available for the, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC when it releases in 2015.
Next up is a game that scared everyone at E3. The Order :1886 – Yet another action-adventure video game developed by Ready at Dawn and SCE Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Computer Entertainment.
A new downloadable content (DLC) is available for Infamous Second Son, called “The First Light”. The trailer showcases Fetch from the game being tormented by discrete voices while he responds with chaos. The DLC is available this August and does not need the original game title to be played.
Little BIG Planet 3 is an adorable game that set the audience with laughter all around at E3 2014. The game is all about cute characters, the gameplay begins with a cute little character Sackboy, the series’ stalwart cloth hero, joined by three different characters each with a use value for others and the environment. This game looks super neat that the crowd at E3 gave an enormous applause when the trailer was shown at E3.
