XDA Senior member SigitCGumilars has released “BBM For Android” quite some time back, when we tested it previously it did not work. After a long gap, we just tried it yet again & shockingly it worked !
Although the developer has abandoned the project since Blackberry has decided to launch its messenger on the play store, it seems to work as of now.
A quick note from the developer :
This application can send messages from android to BlackBerry users. But maybe not through ChatRoom Directly, but through P2P only, such as sending an email message to the BlackBerry Messenger users.
Instructions :
- Transfer the apk to your SD card and install it normally.
Also, the developer has chipped in few trouble-shoots :
- Change DNS to use Google DNS.
- Maybe your contacts & Pin of BBM users will be lost on exiting the app, so it is recommended to backup your contacts.
