Motorola has confirmed that all its current Moto series phones along with Droid Maxx, Ultra and Droid mini will be getting the next iteration of Android – Android 5.0 Lollipop. It had been a question for a long time if Motorola will provide the update for Motorola Moto E but It was understood when Motorola released the phone a few months back that It will support the phone with continued software updates.This is some really great news for all the users of Moto E and Moto G (1st generation).

Motorola mentioned that Android 5.0 Lollipop is in development currently and should be available for everyone in a few weeks. Also, They mentioned the list of the supported phones could change in time.

Every OEM should do this and support its existing phones in the market with quick updates.It’s amazing to see that Motorola has not left out any of the major phone behind. Back in the day when Android KitKat was announced, Moto X got the update in under a month.
