We recently wrote on the same and also mentioned a line on the way Micromax re-brands phones and sells them in India. It was assumed the same wouldn’t be the case with the Yu sub-brand, but turns out the first phone in the much-hyped series is also a re-branded device similar to all of its earlier devices like told in the past.

The first device, Yureka  is a rebranded “Coolpad F2 4G” which is already sold in china since some time.

The phone sports a 5.5-inch display having a resolution of 720p HD screen. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core 64-bit processor coupled with 2GB of RAM along with support for 4G-LTE chip and a dual-SIM slot. It has 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front shooter for the selfie freaks. The phone also boasts 32GB of internal storage and also has a micro SD card slot and is powered by a not so powerful 2500mAh battery.

As per zauba, the import price is 8,301 INR and the phone retails exclusively on Amazon.in for Rs.

Undoubtedly, the phone is NO match for the OnePlus One. The last I heard was they were trying to compete with the foreign brands, with this poor R&D, they may have the sales going but they are never going to make an impact on the community.

Launched. First sale is on 12th of Jan. You must have already registered to stand a chance to purchase it. (Similar to Xiaomi’s flash sale)

No doubts on that. Its the best in that price range. Such a “worth every penny” device.
But as far as we are concerned, technology is about R&D too.
